If nothing else, he does drop his jaw open, letting his tongue loll out lewdly over those pointed teeth-- another silent challenge, testing what this machine will do, what it's capable of.
... however, despite how aloof he's acting, how much of a challenge he's trying to offer up, his pulse is definitely racing, though the exact cause is unclear, even to him.
